THREE MEMBERS ELECTED TO BOARD OF GOVERNORS

New Board Members from CVS/Caremark, Roger Williams University School of Law and Laborers’ International Union of North America

Providence, RI – Last month, the Board of Governors of the Boys & Girls Clubs added three new members to their ranks when they elected Joanne Dwyer of CVS Caremark, Lorraine Lalli of the Roger Williams University School of Law, and Dan A. Bianco, Jr. of the Laborers’ International Union of North America. 

“We are glad to welcome these new members to our board,” said Robert P. Brooks, president of the Board of Governors, “their varied experiences and points of view are going to be great assets to the work of the Board on behalf of the Boys & Girls Clubs.”

Joanne Dwyer is a manager of public relations for CVS/pharmacy.  She is part of the team in the Department of Corporate Communications & Community Relations.  Dwyer is mainly responsible for PR programs on the retail side of the business, including all products sold in stores, the photo department and the ExtraCare loyalty program.  She is also one of the team members responsible for PR initiatives surrounding the CVS Caremark Charity Classic and the CVS Caremark Downtown 5K road race.

Lorraine Lalli is the assistant dean of students for the School of Law at Roger Williams University.  As Dean of Students, Lalli is the primary liaison between law students and other members of the School Administration and counsels students on a wide range of academic and professional issues.  Lalli is also an alumna of the Fox Point Clubhouse, having been a member as a child. 

Dan A. Bianco, Jr. is an International Representative with the Laborers' International Union of North America.  He is responsible for managing national contracts with local unions in the New England Region.  In this role, he conducts pre-job conferences with national contractors and local unions; facilitates labor-related issues pertaining to grievances and arbitrations and oversees all jurisdictional disputes between building and construction trade unions.  Bianco also participated in programs at the Wanskuck Clubhouse as a youth.
